Subject: A welcome message I owe you, a bit late

You’re getting this note a little out of order — you subscribed before I’d actually written a proper welcome message, so I’m fixing that now rather than leaving it unsaid.

First up — thank you for being here.

You were one of the first people to back this, before there was much of a track record to judge it by, and that’s not lost on me.

For anyone new reading this later, here’s what Osprey on Overwatch actually is:
— a small, independent operation.

No ad-revenue softening this, no editorial board smoothing the edges.
Just documented evidence, sourced and cited, on the stories I think matter and that are not being told to you elsewhere.

I am an Australian — but many of my reports apply to International Subscribers too.

Here’s what you can expect, organised into five sections:

1. Start Here — I feature the Animal Farm Theme in many of my posts as an Icebreaker. I have also added some sample reports, to give you a sense about my reporting style.

2. Who Owns Australia — the resource sovereignty series: gas, mining royalties, who actually profits from what’s dug up and pumped out of this country.
   I detail who gets the money and who doesn’t.

3. What They Didn’t Tell You — the gap between the documented record and the public narrative. I try hard to distinguish evidence from interpretation in this work, and to flag clearly which is which.

4. Fire & Fuel — emergency management accountability: bushfire & wildfire policy, crisis readiness, and the systems meant to protect everyone living in wildfire-prone nations. You will find useful homeowner protection methods that can be deployed, well before there is smoke & flame on the horizon.
   Also included here are reports about the Global Fuel Crisis and mitigation plans to ensure Sovereign Fuel Security.

5. The Evidence — I prioritise using hyperlinks embedded within the reports.
   For more complex reports, sourcing and citations behind the claims are added here. This enables you to check my reporting sources, rather than take my word for it.

I’d rather you distrust me and check the sources yourself than trust me blindly.
