The majority of people devastated by wildfires are those living in the countryside, on farms, or the Urban-Rural Interface [URI]. This image below shows the URI with no Fuel Break — cleared areas — between the homes and the forest.
These homes are at high risk of Ember Attack — Embers are burning Sparks from trees, bushes & leaves — and the extremely hot Fire Front, approaching the Urban Area from the forest.
