Animal Farm 2.0: Some Animals Are More Equal & Their Exports Are More Tax-Free!
PART 1 ~ «Animal Farm» ~ Political Dystopian Satire by George Orwell in 1945 ~ about a Group of Farm Animals who Overthrow their Exploitative Human Farmer.
The farm animals then establish their own government, led by the pigs. However, over time, the pigs begin to abuse their power and the other animals start to rebel.
This is the ostensible story, which is very readable by all ages.
But Animal Farm is a story with considerable depth;
The book is an allegory for the Soviet Union, and it critiques the Stalinist regime. Orwell believed that Stalinism was a form of authoritarianism, where those in power abused their authority and oppressed the people. Though described as a ‘fairy story’, Animal Farm derives nearly all of its events and characters from real historical events or groups of people.

Animal Farm Arrives Down Under ~ 80 Years Later
Since the Global Pandemic, Australians have been burdened with a Cost-of-Living Crisis, exacerbated with continuing Eastern European + Middle Eastern Wars.
Despite these dire economic red-flags, the «aussie-animals-in-charge» never even considered that our Resources were being Plundered Tax-free!
They claim that applying a 25% royalty tax on our Gas Exports would simply close projects down.

Chis Kenny:
« But I, I’ve got to get to this nonsense about gas taxes that seems to be getting a lot of traction in the media and in politics. Um, we already get taxes from our gas exports, don’t we? And there’s no way that gas that’s exported largely from the northwest shelf can actually supply us in the east coast of Australia.»Matt Canavan:
« Well, well, Chris, you you just gave a great uh outline there of the issues. I think some of the people pushing this tax don’t understand the complexities, but before I get to that, I think we should be very clear that this tax, this proposed 25% tax on gas exports is not a tax to raise money.
It is a tax designed to shut down the Australian gas industry. |
The people pushing this tax want no fossil fuels. They want no coal.»« They want no gas. They want no oil. We can all see how that’s playing out for our country today. So, of course, they would design a tax that would shut down Australian industry. »
« And there is not a business in this country that could withstand a 25% cut on their revenue. It’s not their profit. They’re not taking 25% of their profit.
They’re saying, “This is how much you make in a year. We’re going to take 25% of it.” Anybody in business knows that your margins are normally much much less than that. The gas industry’s margins are much much less than that in this country.»
Are these Serious Questions?

« The Bosses of the Senate» is a famous 1889 political cartoon by Joseph Keppler. Published in Puck magazine, the illustration satirized Gilded Age corruption by depicting bloated, larger-than-life corporate lobbyists representing major monopolies (like steel, coal, and oil trusts) standing over smaller, subservient US Senators.
